The Cultists and the Man
The man screamed in agony as the blade bit into his flesh. He thrashed about, trying to free himself from the ropes that bound him to the altar, but it was no use. The cultists held him fast, their faces twisted with glee as they watched him suffer.
“P-please,” he begged, his voice hoarse. “I don’t want to die.”
But the cultists ignored his pleas. They continued to chant, their voices rising in a crescendo as the knife plunged deeper and deeper into his flesh. The man’s screams grew louder, and his blood flowed freely. The cultists’ chants became more frenzied, and they began to dance around the altar, their bodies writhing in ecstasy.
Finally, with a final, guttural cry, the man’s body went still. The cultists stopped their chanting and looked down at him, their faces now expressionless. One of them stepped forward and untied the ropes that bound him to the altar. The man’s body slumped to the ground, his blood pooling around him.
The cultists turned and walked away, leaving the man’s body to rot in the sun.
As the sun beat down on him, the man’s flesh began to decompose. His skin turned black and his muscles began to twitch. His eyes opened, and he stared up at the sky with a look of pure terror on his face. The man’s body began to rise from the ground. His bones cracked and popped as he grew taller and taller. His skin stretched and tore, and his muscles bulged. Within minutes, the man had been transformed into a hideous monster. His skin was now a sickly green, and his eyes were bloodshot. His teeth were sharp and pointed, and his claws were long and deadly.
The monster roared in anger, and then it turned and ran into the forest. It would not rest until it had found the ones who had killed it. The monster searched for days, but it could not find the cultists. It was about to give up when it heard a noise. The monster followed the noise to a clearing. In the middle of the clearing was a group of people. They were dancing and chanting, and they did not see the monster approaching. The monster roared, and the people stopped dancing. They turned to look at the monster, and their faces paled with fear.
The monster charged at the people, and they scattered in all directions. The monster chased after them, killing them one by one. Finally, the monster was the only one left in the clearing. It stood there for a moment, surveying the carnage it had caused. Then, it turned and walked away, disappearing into the forest.
